Name necklace as a gift: What length is appropriate for a round face?
Asked 3 years ago
I've been thinking about getting my partner something special for Christmas, and I'd like to get her a white gold name necklace. Her face is round with a few defining angles. I'm worried that a short name necklace will make her appear wider than she is. What length should I get for her to balance her facial features?

A white gold name necklace will certainly be a special surprise for your girlfriend this Christmas! Your best bet here would be choosing a longer necklace. This will help to lengthen the look of her face, by drawing the eyes down. Shorter necklaces like chokers or princess lengths would ultimately shorten her neck and add width to the throat area, something you would want to avoid. Look for necklaces that are 18" and longer to elongate your girlfriend's round shaped face and bring a lovely balance to her facial features.
