What name necklace length is ideal for older women on mother's day?

This Mother's Day, I want to commemorate my grandmother's life. She is the glue that holds our family together, and I want Mother's Day to be extra special. I want a name necklace with her and her grandfather's names on it. I don't know what length is ideal. I'm looking for something light and not too heavy.

This is an elegant and sophisticated approach for an older person. Look for necklaces that are 18" and longer in a thinner cable chain, perhaps with a dainty and light name pendant.
