What name necklace length is ideal for older women on mother's day?

This Mother's Day, I want to commemorate my grandmother's life. She is the glue that holds our family together, and I want Mother's Day to be extra special. I want a name necklace with her and her grandfather's names on it. I don't know what length is ideal. I'm looking for something light and not too heavy.

What a lovely sentiment for your grandmother! I am sure she will pleasantly surprised and very touched. Your best bet here would be choosing a longer necklace for your grandmother this Mother's Day. This is an elegant and sophisticated approach for an older person. Look for necklaces that are 18" and longer in a thinner cable chain, perhaps with a dainty and light name pendant.
